Wildlife
Torrance sits in the valley of the river Kelvin and is surrounded by countryside which provides habitat for a varied selection of wildlife. This wildlife, whether it be plants, flowers, mammals, birds or even insects is abundant and varies with the seasons. There is always something to see and appreciate if you walk about the village and take a little time to look.

I have included examples and information about some of the species that can be seen in and around Torrance in this site. Please feel free to contribute any comments, corrections or additions. Most of all just enjoy what’s on our doorstep.
